Service Agreement & Non-Disclosure Policy

This Service Agreement & Non-Disclosure Policy (“Agreement”) outlines the terms under which Publishers Crew (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides publishing, marketing, and creative services to authors and clients (“you,” “your,” or “client”). By engaging with our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement.

1. Scope of Services

Publishers Crew provides a wide range of professional author-support services, including:

  • Book Writing & Editing
  • Book Design & Formatting
  • Publishing Guidance & Setup
  • Marketing & Promotional Campaigns
  • Distribution Support

All services are provided at an agreed-upon upfront cost, depending on your selected package. Each package clearly lists its included deliverables. Any additional requests or customizations outside the agreed plan may require separate approval or billing.

Excluded Services:

  • Third-party platform or distribution fees not covered in your package
  • Paid ads on external sites (unless specifically included)
  • Any other service not expressly mentioned in your agreement

2. Publishing, Distribution & Marketing Roles

Publishers Crew acts solely as a publishing services provider, not a publisher of record or literary agent.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Preparing manuscripts for publication and print readiness
  • Executing marketing and promotional campaigns (per selected package)
  • Facilitating distribution setup with third-party platforms

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate, complete manuscript materials
  • Responding promptly to revisions and feedback requests
  • Participating actively in promotional efforts when applicable

Results may vary depending on factors such as genre, marketing scope, audience engagement, and industry trends.

3. Royalties & Revenue

Publishers Crew does not retain or claim royalties from your book sales.

All revenue belongs to the author, excluding:

  • Platform or vendor fees
  • Printing, shipping, or handling costs
  • Paid marketing or distribution expenses (if applicable)

We assist in setup and management but maintain no ownership or control over your publishing accounts or royalties.

4. Refunds & Cancellations

Refund and cancellation requests are reviewed according to our Refund Policy. Eligibility depends on project progress, completed deliverables, and the stage of service at the time of request. Once a project has entered the production or marketing phase, refunds may no longer be available.

5. Timelines & Deliverables

We aim to deliver projects efficiently without compromising quality. Initial drafts are typically shared within 3 business days of receiving materials and confirmation. Subsequent timelines for editing, design, revisions, and publishing vary by project scope and client responsiveness. Prompt feedback from the author is essential to prevent delays.

6. Copyright & Ownership

You, the author, retain full intellectual property rights to all creative materials, including manuscripts, artwork, and designs.

Publishers Crew does not claim ownership over any client content.

By working with us, you grant limited permission for use of your project materials solely for service delivery and—only with your written consent—for marketing portfolio or testimonial purposes.

7. Non-Disclosure & Confidentiality

Publishers Crew values your privacy and intellectual property.

We are committed to strict confidentiality and data protection regarding all client materials.

We agree that:

  • All manuscripts, ideas, and correspondence remain strictly confidential.
  • We will never disclose, sell, or distribute client materials to any third party without consent.
  • Confidentiality obligations continue even after the project’s completion or termination.

Likewise, clients agree to maintain confidentiality regarding internal proposals, pricing, and proprietary resources provided by Publishers Crew.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we take all reasonable measures to ensure quality, Publishers Crew shall not be liable for:

  • Delays or disruptions caused by third-party platforms or vendors
  • Sales performance or book market outcomes
  • Losses due to client delays, inaction, or incomplete submissions

In all cases, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service rendered.

9. Agreement Acceptance

By visiting our website, requesting a quote, or purchasing a package, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Service Agreement & Non-Disclosure Policy.

10. Updates to This Agreement

Publishers Crew reserves the right to modify or update this Agreement at any time. All revisions take effect immediately upon posting, with the updated “Last Updated” date shown above. Your continued use of our services implies acceptance of the latest version.
